Morning Woodward Show | Friday, June 24th, 2022

Adham Beydoun and Terry Foster share their thoughts on the Detroit Pistons’ performance last night in the 2022 NBA Draft. Troy Weaver and the Pistons selected Jaden Ivey & Jalen Duren in the 1st-Round of the NBA Draft. Adham is VERY excited this morning, and we’re not sure how Terry will handle him. Enjoy the show!

  1. Brian i would prob take bridges, and sexton and a Bobby Portis. Instead of paying ayton. I mean Duran, Kelly, Stewart and bagley really round out a nice front court without paying a max. With luka as a "next man up" reserve. Be good to get bridges in there to have decent small ball line up at the 4 when needed. can also fill in at SF when bey needs a break. Then you would also have Portis as the sf/pf role for small line ups and as q good bench and role player who can spark engery and provide good 3% stand in the corner and shoot. Also got livers who will continue to grow into a small lineup role.
Bey and cade and ivy are also great at the 2.
Then you have your ball handlers with ivy Hayes cade cojo, sexton, with Lee in a next man up thing. Sexton was doing good off ball and had a very good 3% it showed before he got injured. And if cavs want him that bad, will have to pay up.
No way I would pay a center 30mil. Unless its Joel, nurk, or Mobley.ayton is nice but max I would pay him is like 23-25 a year.

  2. When Weaver made the Grant trade, I wondered if an unintended consequence was pressuring Sac to pick Murray. I said then that if Sac wanted Murray, they'd HAVE to take him at 4 because moving to 6, there was the possibility that Detroit would take Murray at 5. Even if Pistons woulda taken someone else, Sac didn't know for sure that they could get Murray at 6. So this was a high stakes Poker or Chess match that Weaver played to the max……

  3. 1st unit Cade, Ivey, Bey, Bagley and Duren
2nd unit Killian, Hamido, Livers, Olynyk and Stew. I'm loving it so far.

  4. lmfaooo this guy adham cracks me upp man. Jalen Duren is the next ben wallace for the pistons. The kid is 18 years old looks like a NFL player NBA body ready best Piece to a good Defense.. Bagley will start playing stronger & better because of him.

I feel like after Jordan traded Kemba he started playing different & got less playing time. If kemba still has it in him which i think Cade will turn that fire back on for him he will pop off.

  5. Sac picked the right guy for their team. If they would have picked Jaden, they couldn't only trade him for future assets. Detroit, then, would have picked Keegan or Ben. Troy had a plan.

  6. You make a move for Kevin Durant only if you're at championship contention. Pistons aren't at that point in the rebuild. They're still really young and doesn't make sense financially.

  7. question is are these new players gonna be on the floor come home opener ?hate to be the season ticket holders to sit thru another dismal season I know I wouldn’t be happy if I spent thousands of hard earned money to watch a disastrous season once again !

  8. TROY WEAVER IF YOU ARE LISTENING PLEASE REFLECT …
Start Duren and develop his post game, solid defensive and rebounding force in the middle. You got a hell of a well rounded starting 4 in Cade, Ivey, Duren, Bay. You only need go after a solid PF with size, scoring, and rebounding … you got a young championship contender in 2 – 3 years or less, mark my words!!

If you have enough insight and intellect, pick up undrafted Kofi Cockburn from Utah for Cash or something other then the protected 4, LAMBEER PRESENSE BUT MUCH BETTER Without The Outside Shooting. Put him in as C or PF and put Duren a more versatile player at the other spot. In the old days Cockburn would be drafted in the top 3. A bruising scorer and rebounder down low, build like Shack but a little smaller, similar skill, but will be a better defensive player and be at least 60% offensively productive as Shack if given the touches and coaching, and allowed to develop – he is already NBA ready to produce at a fair level offensive and already to go as a defensively and rebounding force. MARK MY WORDS!

  9. I'm on vacation and internet horrible. Got new month of data today. Been wanting to hear Adham's. Exactly as expected. Loved it. Rock on Adham.
