Should you buy this CHEAP COSTCO HYBRID?! Budget COSTCO COBRA Irons vs $250 Cobra LTDx Hybrid!? SHOCKING! When buying new golf clubs we always want the best golf clubs for us… but does that mean you have to buy an expensive new Hybrid? do you need the best hybrid of 2022? the longest driver of 2022? maybe you need the most forgiving hybrid of 2022… none of which sound like they will be cheap golf clubs? What about buying golf clubs from Costco? we have all seen the Kirkland golf clubs. Kirkland golf balls, costco golf clubs and costco golf balls have been a huge hit, now you can even buy Cobra golf clubs from costco in a package set. budget golf clubs could well be the future of golf…cheapo package sets especially… but what is the difference between an expensive 2022 Cobra LTDX hybrid , vs a budget package hybrid? let’s find out… and let’s do it now!

  1. Fast forward 1 year: guys, I was at Costco buying baby formula and diapers…

  2. Well James, don't bank on a sponsorship from Cobra. These videos will cost them tons of money on the high end clubs. IF you average 5 over a round or less, the higher end clubs help. For beginners there is no reason not to get the Costco clubs.

  3. All you need to do is wait a season or two and by second hand. I just got the ltdx-ls(bought in early June 2022)driver and basically got it half off. They retail, in the U.S, for $499 and I got one off eBay, brand new, for $270. I’ve used it 3 times so far and it is one of the best feeling and sounding drivers I’ve hit and for a low spin is pretty damn forgiving

  4. I think Cobra has really knocked it out of the park with the LTDx models! I put the LTDx LS driver in the bag and debating on replacing my TaylorMade 3 wood and hybrid with them as well.

  5. Minor moans below, but really enjoyed the content – you do manage to produce something different to keep your audience interest while other golf YouTubers stick to a fixed formula that can become boring after a while.

Really would have appreciated links to the other Cobra XL Speed videos in the description section. With regard to the description section a 10 line block paragraph with odd capitalization and punctuation is really difficult to read. But, there again few people read the description sections of any YouTube clip.

  6. I can't be the only person who finds James covering the camera lens in his intro to be so dang cringe. Love the videos, just not the intro lens covering haha.

  7. If a newer golfer was looking for a first set, and asked my opinion of them, I would endorse the Costcobras… but generally I would try to put a good used set together for them instead.

  8. 5:20 into your review and had 5 ads, could not finish watching YouTube is Ridiculous. Nice review James, I think.

  9. I picked up a 5 hybid f max £50 for a recent bag build project. 25 deg. 4 Rounds later just love this club. It straight, easy launched. So far 210yards of a tee. 2nd shots par 5 made 240 yards on a slope with green side stops. Twice in 2 weeks, so a convert to 5 hybrids. 5 iron out the bag…

  10. I have just had a full bag fitting in the last month< James except for the Driver which I kept. My two TaylorMade Stealths were in that price bracket but I got 10% off because of a scheme my club had going. I thing my TayloMade Stealth 5 Wood or Fairway Wood was £277 without the discount. and again without the discount my TaylorMade Stealth 5 Hybrid was retailed at 249.90. Yes! I would spend the money. I have picked up 4 strokes on my handicap since the fitting and 10 yards on everything. Everyone should have a fitting. They make such a difference.

  11. I just picked up a 17 ° tour edge C721 hybrid from RBG for $145 and it came with a RDX black shaft , goodbye 3 wood

  12. James, you should try the Eleven hybrid set(3 to pw) and see if you score lower than your normal irons!!

  13. The real question is how does a 20 handicap golfer hit these clubs. the LTDX is geared for game improvement

  14. I wouldn’t pay £200 for a hybrid. Only paid £140 for both my Mizuno CLK3 & 4 hybrids 2nd hand in mint condition. And both adjustable lofts.

  15. I currently play Cobra Speedzone hybrids in 21 and 24 degrees. I just bought a brand new Ping G410 26 degree hybrid (upped the loft to 27 degrees) for $217 US… because the course has let the rough around the green grow longer and thicker this year and I'm using it for chipping around the green. Chris Dennis would be proud. Also it replaces my 6i. If Cobra only made a hybrid in that loft…. My irons are lofted exactly like Chris' Cobras.

  16. Mizuno makes a complete cheaper set in Japan from Driver to sand called Eurus, plus hybrids to replace irons. Do they carry these clubs any other places?

  17. I wouldn't buy a budget set, before I even consider that I would look for a used set or a clearance of last years. I believe you get much better performance , quality and forgiveness and you be alot happier in the long run.

  18. To be honest they are all pretty much the same, just too many to choose from, if I watched every review/ person preference I would be skint.
It doesn't really matter what's in the bag If you're happy with it stick to it before you listen to every opinion / review.
Most of us will never be professional so enjoy the game and don't worry others might have better clubs than you mostly golf is full of wannabes look the part and have all the gear and no idea 😂
