  1. Brilliant video, Ali. Due to children, I spent a long time away from the game. When I came back to it two years ago after an 18 year lay off. I had forgotten about shaft lean. It was pointed out to me that my shaft lean was there, but was not enough. I actually pre-set my shaft lean now at set up. The top of my club handle with a 7 Iron is about level with the center point of the front thigh. It does make a difference. I have picked up 10 yards per club. I am only 7 yards short of my 1985 distances now. I am at retirement age so I have slowed down a bit. Thanks for this.

  2. PS I am straighter since I rediscovered shaft lean, Ali. I don't know why, I'm not technical enough. I used to have natural fade. lol

  3. Thanks Ali. I have used information from your videos for the last few months. It is particularly helpful for longer accurate shots. It paid off in the recent Australian Over 80’s championships where I was beaten on a count back for the Nett section, same score as the winner. Some improvement for an 85 year old. Thank you very much.

  4. Good stuff, 3/4 swing compressed is the way for me.
I’m guessing keeping pressure on back of shaft through driver impact is exactly the same even though you are going slightly up at impact.

  5. Calling you out on your intro trackman numbers Ali….compressed ball with 0.4deg aoa and low point before ball… cmon. 😮‍💨

  6. Hi mate, see the way you lift your head on the follow through is that okay to do ? I was doing it at the range for awhile and I was striking it way better as I was getting through the ball better but my mate says I should keep my head down and eyes on the ball

  7. Love love this. When attempting this, how do we keep from digging the club into the ground too early, in front of the ball. Weight shift?
