The perfect warm-up routine before round of golf (you’ll play better)

  1. Quick comment Rick and would appreciate your thoughts. I'm all for warming up before hitting the course, but on artificial grass?? Not sure thats good wisdom. For me the reaction of the club, namely the bounce of astroturf, is totally different to hitting off grass and could effect your swing.

Lee Trevino said, “Green synthetic practice mats are the worst thing for your golf game that I know of. You can hit six inches behind the ball and not even know it, because the ball still gets airborne"

  2. This is how Rick warms up before a round of Break 75 so he can go out there and shoot a nice 87!

  3. I have usel the following:
    6 9I
    4 7I
    4 Fw
    3 Spoon
    3 58
I have Done This warmup for 20 years. It works for me 😊

  4. I spend about a half hour warming up. But there's an old legend at the club that just walks to the tee every week saying his warm ups a fag and a sh1t. 🤣🤣

  5. After watching your recent form Rick I will be doing the opposite 😅🏌️‍♀️

  6. After watching the way you played vs that 16 year old you better take a little extra time to warm up 😉 you seem like a good dude so I’ll take it easy on you

  7. One thing I like to do after what you did is play the first couple holes, one the range(if that makes sense).
Ex: If hole one is a par 5 I would hit driver, Then the switch to my 2nd shot club, then maybe a short wedge. Then play the second hole par 4 and go Driver, 8 iron. I visualize each shot, set it up on the range with target points and all that.
The course is completely different than the range bc you hit shot after shot, but it's never the same club. You will never hit two driver swings back to back. You'll never hit two 8 irons from the fairway back to back. You have to learn how to go from one shot to the next. So try it out on the range

  8. Well that was speaking the obvious matey what else would you be doing for warm ups, throwing darts at the range or something

  9. Last shot you hit on the range before a round should be the shot you want to hit on the 1st tee

  10. Oh hell….I'm definitely doing it wrong! I go out and blast a bucket of balls, then send my tee shot into someone's pool somewhere about 3 miles right of the first fairway.

Maybe I'll try to hit less balls next time.
