  1. I hope it helps lol. Feeling a bit lost at the minute – paralysis by analysis. Taking the wrist-angle drills to the range today.

  2. This is helpful to understand why I draw any shot I try to hit down on (irons) and slice any shot I try to hit up on (driver). I think I drag my club through more with the driver which causes it to be open. I'll have to work on my wrist angle on that club.

  3. Good stuff. Will play the face angle game with my son at the weekend. He has it figured out mostly but improving skill is never a bad thing and I certainly need it…

  4. Gonna try these. Don’t have a scooby where the face is during the swing. Been working on wrist angle but only in one direction.

  5. Mark, this was a good one! Something a duffer like me can actually practice. My main issue is I am 58 so each day my stiffness and mild pain is a bit different. This makes my driver swing subtlety different for each round. It can be a frustrating thing. I have been trying to regulate my swing but not much luck yet. Irons are pretty consistent (for an amatuer).
Thanks again for a great video.

  6. An interesting video but I do wonder the value for a high handicapper or even mid handicapper. The take away for them should be how to control the face in order for them to hit a straight shot with consistent strike. Strike has such an effect on ball shape that I’m not sure they would be able to analyse the result of “face control” without seeing the numbers and even then you would need to be able to understand the numbers.

For a low handicapper it would be a good skill to have but even then if they are looking to improve they’d be better focusing their time on distance control and short game.

I’m sure others may see it differently but this is also baring in mind most golfers only have an hour here or there to practice.

  7. Just found your channel and watched some of your constant. Excellent viewing! I’m certainly going to be trying this out at the range and using some of your cheats like using the back of the green yardage etc. 👍

  8. Great vid Mark. That is my practice routine now. Pick a target and deliberately try to draw and fade it to that target. Certainly builds confidence when you can start to see yourself match your intention with your execution. 😁

  9. Very good tips Mark, thanks, will look at trying these when I can get back playing again. (Upcoming big surgery)

  10. Now, am I normal or weird?
I can "feel" a fade from hybrids through my irons. I can fade it round a tree pretty naturally.
I can hit my hybrids and irons pretty straight.
But I have no concept/idea/ feel for a draw. I can do the 'things' and sometimes it turns, sometimes it's just a massive push. At worst it's a push slice.
All caused through being totally one sided?

    Is it just me?

Btw dunno if it's relevant, but I can't drive either – exactly the same non feeling for what I'm supposed to be doing…🤯

  11. Yes Mark!!! Nobody does content like this better than you. Love your skill based approach. 👌

  12. I've always struggled to hit a draw when needed. My natural shot is a slight fade. This really helped. Thanks, brah!

  13. Love this kind of stuff. I am a student of the game and really like to try different things that can help me understand the mechanics of the swing more. Looking forward to my next practice session.

  14. Brilliant, you are the best coach at explaining the extreme swings and what they do to the face control. Great drills to explore these ideas.
It is the draw I struggle with, guess what I will be trying out at the range. Thanks for all your content, the fun vlogs and the instructional videos, just a pleasure to watch.😊👍

  15. I've been searching and waiting for this video. I don't know why this isn't taught regularly by all coaches.
