What do you think a single-digit handicap would shoot at The Country Club in Brookline, MA under U.S. Open conditions? With super long holes, punishing rough, and lightning-fast greens it won’t be easy.

While we were in Massachusetts for this Break 90, we recorded an episode of The Erik Anders Lang Show with Will Ahmed, Founder & CEO of WHOOP. Had a great conversation! Check it out on the new RGC Radio YouTube Channel. Watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5EUQZ0IjBPg&t=109s&ab_channel=RGCRadio
This week more than ever I am honored to be a recipient of the Francis Ouimet Memorial Scholarship.
I've lived like a mile from the course for years and I cannot wait to finally see it up close. Every Open venue is spectacular but this one holds a very special place in the history of the sport, site of the greatest game ever played.
Amateur is a loose term here, no?
Fun to watch, but when you're playing legit courses from the tips, unless your short game and putting are pristine, you have ZERO chance of breaking 90. I knew it before even starting the video.
I was entertained!
Get that boy Francis on a breaking series!
I know it's hard to get onto these courses for this kind of shoot but have you considered trying to arrange a practice round before the actual filming. Obviously, the pros get some time to get to know the intricacies of each hole before the competition and I think Erik would benefit from the same instead of going in blind and learning the course as he goes. I wanna see him break 90 out there because it seems possible if he had a better game plan to attack these tough setups.
Never got a chance to play there. But there a little course next to it that was called putterham. Don't know the current name but it more my speed. They used it for the parking during the Ryder cup. Good luck with the back nine. Thanks
Didn't know the grandfather from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was a golfer.
5th hole your caddie, who btw has a great attitude glass half full kind of guy, should of saved you two shots. You should never of been hitting driver. Love the content keep em coming
Why didn't you hit a provisional off 1st??? Know the rules NOOBS!
Havn't even watched it yet, but please, don't ever stop doing those. Magic!
Francis has forgotten more about golf than most of us will ever know!
That was the best caddying I have ever seen. Great job
What flex are them legs?
Course in terrible condition..WTF?
Was Francis in another video previously ?
EAL yo my bucket brother… HMU in the UK soon… you, me and Andy (The Average Golfer) oh yes!
Eric being a single-digit hanidcapper and struggling this hard is an extremely humbling reminder to my 20+ handicap self that no, I definitely cannot make those same shots that the guys on TV are doing.
always mixed emotions when you see a youtube golfers bare legs for the first time…
Love this series. What glove was EAL wearing? It's sick
"single digit handicap"
