adidas Avanti Track Spike | Best long distance mid-distance track spike?

  1. Wow these looks really good! Especially with the inclusion of energy rods. I’ll be a more flexible then a carbon plate. The shark skin is also i nice edition and I’ll make it feel a lot softer with that light strike pro. These are gonna be super comparative to the dragonfly especially if adidas make them massy available. I’m assuming it’s not going to be 140MSRP anymore?. Also release date?

  2. I am interested in how this spike would feel. Not sure why Adidas is so insistent on it being a 5000-10000 shoe. It’s arguably better than the ambition for middle distances, but it has the stack for longer stuff. The dragonfly is a 1500-10,000, so it would make sense if Adidas classified this in the same way

  3. Seems like another case of of radically updating a model but retaining the name! There is a model out at the moment with this name which is much different to this. Less cushioning and a narrow spine.

  4. Anyone think these will be much of an improvement to the current (“old”) Avanti with Boost? I just ordered a pair of the Boost version, but am considering if I should return them and wait for the new version.
(I am just a hobby runner, running a 9:30 or so 3k, I just enjoy running in spikes)

  5. Imo the Drangonfly are ways superiour to the Avanti, still the best Adidas Spike for middle to long-diatance running.
