I don't understand what is the difference between the PGA Championship and the US Open anyways? Southern Hills just hosted the PGA Championship, couldn't they also host the US Open as well?
Interestingly Brookline is hosting the US Open but didn't host the PGA Championship? Why is that? Couldn't Brookline or Southern Hills have hosted both the PGA Championship and the US Open? The Masters is currently the only major to be played on the same course every year. Why can't the PGA Championship and US Open do as well and name one sole golf course as the main course for their major championships?
Brookline should've hosted the PGA Championships while Southern Hills should've hosted the US Open.
