  1. Hi Alex, I have been trying to flatten my wrist but in order to do so and keep my left arm straight I have to significantly reduce my backswing. Yes I hit it straighter but I feel like I'm losing a ton of power…..frustrating to say the least.

  2. Realising this was the reason I went to single figures handicap. Great tip Alex. John Rahm for win!

  3. That wrist position creates an uncomfortable tension in my forearm and also changes my backswing.

  4. Great video Alex , this was very interesting 🏌️‍♀️👍⛳️ speith or JT for the pga 👍⛳️🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♀️

  5. There are times when you have to be proactive not reactive in the golf swing and this is one of them.

  6. Great video this is so me I've started Boeing the wrist more and gained more distance straighter shots and better scored. I'm going for Shane lowry

  7. I don’t see a problem cupping the wrists for most amateurs at the top of the swing. The club face is too strong at the top with a flat wrist for most golfers and unless they rotate like a pro the club face will be closed at impact. I’ve always had a slight cup in my wrist at the top but it flattens as I come into impact naturally. In the 80’s and 90’s the cupped wrist was actively taught by coaches and no doubt it’ll do a full circle at some point.

  8. Been trying this at home and it feels so alien as it's never really come to mind before. Look forward to trying this out on the course tomorrow. Great vid alex 👏👏

  9. This changed my game in the last year, or so. I hit it further, and straighter. But, the main thing is my iron strikes are so much more consistent, and distance, and direction is so much more predictable. I used to sometimes shoot around par, if my timing and flippy strike was on that day. However, bad days were in the 80’s. And I had a lot of bad days. Now…. My last 6 rounds have been 71, 70, 72, 70, 74, and 72(par 72). My irons compress, and make that hissing sound, and my driver is dead on. People are fools if they don’t work on this til they get it right. It’s truly a game changer. One thing that clicked with me is to cock the wrists “back”, instead of cocking them “up”. This puts the right palm facing more towards the sky at the top(like holding a tray), and flattens or slightly bows the left wrist. This position lays the club down more, for a shallower approach, and also automatically squares the face so you can turn through the ball, without having to stall your rotation to flip the face closed.

  10. I'm beginning to think you are basing your channel on my problems! 😂 This is exactly what I need to focus on next, because I've been struggling with exactly these problems. Can't wait to hit the driving range and practice!

  11. I have seen tons of videos for driver, spoon hybrid, long irons, inside to out, rotation bla, bla. THIS IS IT, let me tell you! I have been doing from 90-95 shots all season. Today I applied your tip, I shot 78(this is massive for me)! THANK YOU! 🙂 My hcp is 18 and now a single digit is within grasping distance! Birdied a hole with your tip in mind and took one longer club on a par 3 with a more controlled swing! 170 yards a given iron 7 but changed it to a 6, 3 feet from the hole, ta-da! 🙂

  12. Love this! I've been trying to do this but the tee peg is a great visual aid.

I'm one of those mid-teen handicappers that can take the entire Winter off golf, get back to playing off 15 within a few rounds, then fail to improve further after 40 rounds during Summer.

I wondered why I'm hitting 7/8 iron crisply to 160 yards, but only hitting 3 Wood 190, and I think this is why!
