  1. Not a good comparison. First is you need to compare one thing at a time, ie either the old balls or old irons, not both. Second is you need to minimize the variables & differences. For the irons, since those were ISI's and not ISI-K's, you would need to find a steel shafted players iron with similar specs. Then and ONLY then can you see the true difference.

  2. I wish you would have tested a few T200 and Professional 90 swings.
ISI 5 iron is 27 degrees.
    ISI 8 iron is 39.
    T200 5 iron is 25.
    T200 6 iron is 28.
    T200 8 iron is 35.
    T200 9 iron is 39.
    For anyone that's curious.

  3. Always like seeing these old vs new videos. Those ISI look like the nickel version as well based on the gold paint.
I do think it would’ve been great to see the comparison with the following changes.:

One club lower ISI vs. T200. If you check the length and loft, it’s pretty dang similar.

Also… gunna need to hit the same ball with both of them.

Hope to see more of these in the future!

  4. I need some ADVICE. 69 years old but athletic. I'm looking for a new set of clubs with a little distance and a 30° seven iron and graphite shafts. Any idea?

  5. Like they said twenty plus years ago with the Professional ball came out, a relative gave me a dozen for some reason. I opened a sleeve at the course and played this new Titleist for three holes, then benched them and play whatever ball I had in my bag, this Professional ball was the worst I had ever played, I ended up giving them to someone I did not like ( he didn't know ), they were that bad. My opinion.

  6. I played Pro90s. Loved them. Hated the PVs, so switched to Sirxon. Every time I try PV1s I still can’t stand them. Playing Vice Pros today.

  7. Always good fun to watch a comparison like this because the reality is for those upgrading, they will be taking advantage of the new technology, both clubs and balls. My son has talked me into getting back into the game after being away from it for 20 years. I’m hitting late 80’s clubs right now. Going to tick all the boxes before upgrading, getting fitted, a few lessons etc. Be interesting to see what sorts of improvements I see.

  8. Sorry but these tests are disingenuous and are set up to sell modern clubs. The difference you're seeing is from mainly the balls and lofts. If you want a real comparison, get the same lofts, shaft length/weight, and ball and you'll find distances will be near identical between clubs now vs 20 years ago. I get you guys sell clubs but this isn't it.

  9. Cool test, agree it would be good to do just ball, then just club change. To me, I am shocked how little it changed. Sure new clubs are longer, but dispersion until 5 iron is almost better with old clubs and balls (so your accuracy and predictability is better). It’s the swing more than the hardware.
