  1. Thanks again for the great reviews. Truly enjoy the information you both and your team provides.

Since TaylorMade owns Adams Golf. I'd truly be interested in what your thoughts and reviews of the new Adams Woods and Hybrids would be?
Keep up the great work, Cheers!

  2. Have tried a few fairway woods to replace my old Epic 5w. Tsi2 made no difference, Rogue (standard not LS) was too inconsistent. Stealth was really nice and long but again a bit inconsistent (not as bad as Rogue). G425 ultra-consistent but not as long as the Stealth but a lot longer than my old Epic.

Of course that is just me and I have ordered a G425, gained 15 yards of carry compared to my Epic. Could have gone with the Stealth but it was just too long (yes really) for what I wanted.

  3. I would humbly disagree with your conclusion of Stealth & Rogue being “best fairway wood” of 22. The caveat being I’m looking for my 3-wood usage being 60/40 from fairway on long par 5, 40% off tee. I got very similar results when I recently tested a handful of 3-woods. A bit longer than you but the Stealth plus 15* was spinning 2400-2600, very similar to you. That for me is ideal driver spin rate. Unless I’m playing extremely large greens that are very soft, that’s not going to hold a green. My best scoring chance on a par 5 approach with that club is aiming for a bunker.

Conversely the TSi3, set to 15.75* was spinning 3200-3400, as was the Exotics C722 and Mizuno STZ. I demoed all clubs w/Speeder NX 70X @43” and 57.5 lie. I did not demo any Rogue models, my fitter did not have them yet. I did try the Ping, Srixon and Cleveland but dismissed quickly due to sound, look and/or lack of ability to set lie at 57.5. I ended up getting the C722 primarily because my club builder could buy head only to fit to the Speeder NX 70X, Mizuno, Tour Edge and Titleist did not offer this preferred shaft in their custom matrix.

I would definitely recommend you adding both the Mizuno and Exotics to any fairway wood comparison, both are very long and workable designs. Biggest issue however would be to separate your club comparison into intended usage. Nothing wrong with a 2500 spin 3-wood if it’s primary usage is off-tee. Anyone however looking to hit off deck as an approach club, the idea of a <40* landing angle mid-2000 spin rate holding a green is just not realistic.

  4. Looking at getting a 7 wood. Would assume that at that loft, one of the smaller, more playable, low spin models would be awesome. Very versatile yet also pretty easy to hit… sign me up
