  1. That's some major stuff, makes a lot of sense with the energy measurements. Might explain why what "feels" to me like a 3/4 arm swing can go as far as what "feels" like a full arm swing. Defo something to work on. Great video!

  2. This is sooo good. I’ve noticed when I reallly get after one, my backswing feels shorter, and my feet leave the ground, through impact. The results are a longer ball. I just haven’t perfected it enough to to do it all of the time. Great video! This is how JT hits it so far…

  3. Wow, those distances are crazy consistent!! I was always a bit worried about trying to improve speed etc., figuring I would lose control which was always my best aspect of the driver game. But seeing these decent strikes and your feeling of 'doesn't feel like I'm doing anything more, if anything less' really makes me want to practice this. Lovely stuff Mark!

  4. Speed up fair play. But are you not spraying it… Thinking about it in real life…? You said you used to know where face is., I am like that, but wouldn't want to sacrifice that for speed in real life, on course????

  5. If you watch Nicolas hojgaard he’s quite like this, shortish back swing and then jumps through impact and absolutely sends it 💣

  6. Very beautiful indeed. One possible suggestion: your waggle could be softer, that would translate into an even smoother overall motion (Percy Boomer), even though it looks quite close to excellence already. Percy Boomer argues, that if the waggle is too lively, you will favor the shoulders rather than the lower body.

The secret behind all of golf is emphasized by Ernest Jones – his explanation of what swinging the clubhead actually means.

  7. Now we need to know which video vlog will be the first one when you apply this technique 😉

  8. People should spend more time trying to be straight rather than long unless you want to be a tour pro. I’m not looking for you ball every hole thanks very much.

  9. Gone off your channel past 6 months or so but this was really good. Look forward to the next instalment

  10. I’ve been trying for a while now to align my lead leg extension with impact , it’s required what feels like a drop in tempo , certainly takeaway.
Works wonders with my irons and woods but I’m only 50/50 with driver . That said 50/50 is my driver norm , I feel very Steve stricker esq with woods and a bit Bryson with driver , it’s also very very feel dependent and some lies I just can’t get the feel.

  11. Suggestion: Try something similar with your mid to long irons/hybrids. Be interesting to see that comparison. Great work Mark & Coach!…I miss “Buggy Time.” Please bring it back.

  12. Fascinating and interesting to my inner geek (which isn't very inner).

Not sure I should even attempt any of this until I find out why the hell my brief, but much loved, sabbatical from my slice has ended though.

  13. I don't understand – your short game is magic. why try to squeeze out five more yards on the driver?

  14. Your best video. Don’t you think it is time the Pga and other governing bodies designed some learning platforms so all pros could teach the right things.

  15. I'm old enough in the channel to remember when every drive was 262 😂Great work and improvement Mark, enjoy every step of the way!!!

  16. Mark, little confused here… i get the jump part for the transition/downswing, why are you saying you changed the sequence of your backswing? I can't understand what you mean by that.

  17. Congrats Mark, and thanks for sharing your journey. I'm certain you've already thought about a video for this, but I'm now curious to what degree this effects your Iron swing. #DeathToPatPat

  18. The old saying "Less is more" – for the last 12 months I have been saying to myself and my playing group "70% power for this drive" and have watched my handicap drop from 14 to 7, hitting straighter, longer and more fairways. Less is definitely more.
Great video Mark, keep them coming. Perth Western Australia
