  1. I would not say I use newer balls, but I do use a better ball for putting. I have 2-3 bushel baskets of golf balls at home, and most if they look in good shape, go about the same distance for my game. i dont need 50 dollar golf balls to play weekend golf. Matter a fact, I find those 50 dollar/premium golf balls that people seem to lose along the fence lines. So I never have to buy a premium golf ball – thank you to the other golfers.
New golf balls are just a gimmick for manufacturers to make money and dont believe most the info on the boxes, at least for an average golfer – which I am. Note: I shoot in the low 80's for 18 holes, and dont use any particular golf ball.

  2. Wouldn’t spoil a good walk with a cheap ball that’s for sure.

  3. For me i am close to finishing z star from 2020 (brand new that i bought just before lockdown) i certainly wasn't going to not use them…. I'm not sure they will have improved it to a level that i will notice (they may say different but i doubt it)

  4. Would love to see a compare between lake balls (all grades) v new balls, could you do a compare Mark?

  5. Watching this makes me think that Mark should talk about golf company marketing while he chips along on a vlog considering how close he’s getting it right near the hole. LOL

  6. I've just cleared out my dads garage and found 9 Pinnacle Extreme and 6 Dunlop DDH 110 compression balls. Proper old school. would make a great test

  7. In 2009 i bought second hand Pro V1 from 1999-2002. I bought over a 100 of them and gamed one last friday in 2022…. i honestly can barely tell the difference from a 1999 pro v1 to a 2022. And i play off around 3 hcp. Made 3 birdies and had an eagle put.
