  1. The weight of the sliotar is an argument only raised by people who havent / are no longer actually playing the game. There may be a point, but it becomes a null point when there isn’t practical solution proposed. The 30pts being hit are only being achieved by the top county teams so this isn’t as wide spread issue throughout all levels

  2. agree tp extent but players more skillful now too stop moaning johnny thats game now . Johnny moans a bit hurling fans moan about football and football moaning about hurling

  3. Tommy was the Roy Keane on the great Kilkenny teams, heavier ball would stop the tip tap approach developed by Dave Fitzgerald years ago for teams to stop other teams that were better skill wise, it’s refined by Limerick at a deadly level now except they have the hurlers, agree the crowd buzz is not the same.

  4. I agree with Tommy Cork will not fear Clare one bit , and I think they will come out and play great hurling and win , because it will be a more open free flowing game , Cork love that type of game .

  5. I think the skill level has gone up in hurling which increases scoring levels. It's a bit like watching snooker now where centuries are ten a penny an even 147's . Same with hurling . Everyone is expected to score now an the skill level isn't appreciated. Still not a fan of the short passing hurling which Tommy rightly says isn't a bit easy. He an I would much prefer the game where Tommy fires the ball to Henry an he puts it over the bar. Great listening to Tommy talking hurling or anything else.

  6. Players are too strong, fast and skilful now, why not cripple them before they go out and let’s have nobody score 👍

  7. Top analysis love listening to him doesn't get too much into technical tactics very basic for the average follower that likes to dip in and out. Would be the makings of a very good underage coach

  8. Give Eoin and Johnny a couple of hurleys and put them in the middle of a pitch and ask them to hit it 70 yards over the bar with nobody on them and see if it's easy then.

  9. I love listening to Tommy walsh..knows his stuf inside out.
I fancy Kilkenny to beat Galway.
Expecting a very open game between Clare and Cork with Cork to shade it,maybe.

  10. Tommy such a great pundit and analyst that’s why he’s not on the Sunday game he’s too good for them, you’d be sick of hearing Donal Og gone all statistic heavy. Shane dowling is decent enough so far but the Sunday game is gone so bleak and boring in both hurling and football

  11. Tommy is spot on as usual, this short tippy, tapping hurling and hand passes or throws, is a slow build up, like Gaelic football, you can see what's coming almost…so a point at the end of it, is expected almost a given now…the long delivery in to the square is a thing of the past now, as is ground hurling, making and taking your own score, or man marking, and the 50/50 duel…
