What I Think

The Footjoy contour golf shoe, it is not pretty but for someone that also works in retail these are a massive seller. They certainly appeal to the ‘older’; generation and as you can see the shoe comes in wider than any other shoe as standard. The reason the contour has always been so popular is its consistency, what you see is what you get.

The full grain uppers, always great and will keep the water out, the cushioned fit inside the shoe is a stand out feature of the contours. They offer out of the box comfort like putting slippers on. The shoe has very subtle detailing with the inbossed logo on the side and the overall style is very casual.

The most impressive part of this shoe is the outsole, although it only has 6 soft spikes. The rest of the outsole is made up of VersaTRAX, Duramax rubber. The VersaTRAX are constructed so when you hit a shot they dig into the ground giving you a better grip. This shape changes slightly around the big toe giving extra grip when swinging.

The DuraMax rubber is a hard wearing rubber so if walking on harder surfaces it does not rub away!

The only part of this shoe that i do not like is how rounded the shoe looks, this is very personal and to be fair with it being more rounded it will fit more foot shapes.

Overall a very solid shoe, what you see is what you get.
