Paul made some bad shots that’s why he lost. Simple
He was not robbed. Another competitor cheating or an official making an incorrect call on a rule would be robbery. That putt was just left side enough to not be caught. The kick off the base was awful, but also not robbery. Everyone had to throw at the same base. That said, those bases should not be in use. Discs shouldn’t trampoline that way off the base of a target. Especially that near OB.
I mean dude could have easily won by avoiding two double bogeys throughout the tourney
Let’s go look at everyone else that gets robbed by “bad luck/breaks”, it sucks but it’s the breaks!!! Ask him he would probably disagree that he got robbed, just my opinion!!!

I think Ezra Aderhold's spit out at worlds takes the cake for most unlucky shot
Paul wasn't robbed. Paul had back to back double bogeys in round 1. Then back to back bogeys because he was pissy due to his bad break in the last round.

Well sometimes thats how disc golf goes, you also forgot on the playoff, the astro turf on the tee pad curled up and caught on his foot not allowing him to make a full follow through on his drive, so theres another potential stroke Paul would have gotten. Calvin deserved a win though IMO hes been up there at the top at every single tournament this year.
You didn’t even mention that hole 1s tee pad ripped/collapsed on Paul’s drive in the playoff.
Man i don’t know to say mcbeth got robbed is as big of a slap in the face to Calvin as Paul’s post congratulating Calvin but more or less say he got screwed and should have won. Guess what they all played the same course. They didn’t add that bucket under the basket for Paul’s shot only. He took the riskier play after the other 3 laid up. He didn’t get screwed it was an unfortunate bounce but that shit happens all the time. They all putted on the same baskets and prodigy baskets are known for kicking out weak side. Again they all putted on the same baskets and Calvin threw seconds after paul on the same tee pad that wasn’t repaired. Paul should have learned from the first time it twisted on him. And if we want to talk about crap breaks Calvin should have been putting for eagle on that water hole because his disc skip up on to dry land but because they picked an arbitrary line 3 ft up the bank he had to go to the drop zone a d took a bogey instead of an eagle. That’s two strokes. It goes both ways.
So it goes in all sports. Do any of us really want every sporting event to have zero bad breaks (or zero good breaks, for that matter)?
Remember when he was actually robbed? Somebody stole his bag after the first round at the memorial and he lost in a playoff to Big Jerm haha…..they need to get rid of the sudden death playoffs…2-3 holes.

I am undecided if I enjoy the "luck" factor of Disc Golf. It certainly can incite emotions. For this tournament the only thing that 100% needs changed is tee pads. That's an injury waiting to happen.
His cut through put was left. And the basked base likely needs to be a bit smaller, but next year McBeth maybe lays up or throws long to remove it from the equation.

Yeah the trash can under the bucket is a big problem. Not sure who thought of it, but it needs to go. It seemed like the jomez coverage, all three inadvertently expressed that the trash cans are dumb as well

You can play the "what if" game all day for every player at every tournament. This is pretty amateur saying that Paul got robbed or deserved to win. There is always luck involved in disc golf, and at the end of the day the winner is going to have a combination of high skill and fortunate rolls, skips, wind, etc.

Everyone was playing the same course,.. even Paul will tell you,.. rules where challenged and answered ,.. the sport is going to have growing pains,.. how they are resolved is what will prove our overall success

How about making the enclosure made of fabric instead of hard material so a disc hits it and stops and rewards the throw instead of the hard surface it now is that causes a great shot to go OB?

Paul wasnt "robbed". He didnt win and then someone took it from him. Every player gets bad kicks or spit outs. Its part ofthe game. Calvin won. Period.
I felt bad after those two bad breaks, but not so much after the good breaks the course gave him later in the round. Calvin deserved the win, if for no other reason, he parked that playoff shot, stone cold perfect throw.
