My NEW FITTED GOLF CLUBS DON'T WORK!?

My NEW FITTED GOLF CLUBS DON’T WORK!?My NEW IRONS have STOPPED WORKING!? Recently I got fitted for brand new golf clubs… which is always a fun time… buying new golf clubs is a funny time because you need to make sure you buy the best golf clubs for 2022, the best golf clubs for you, the most forgiving golf clubs you need… and not only that but the best budget golf clubs for the money. I also had a golf lesson with the worlds best golf coach Peter Cowan… all this together means without practice these clubs could quickly “stop working”… let’s do it… and let’s do it now!

  1. James, golf is a game of peaks and troughs mate (as you should know) so you just need to go through the troughs and enjoy the peaks.

  2. Golf is so frustrating! I'm sure we all feel for you. It's a lot to take in – new clubs and a new swing – but persevere and it will come good. Plus I'm sure you'll get loads of great content for You Tube from this! 👍😁

  3. Set up square,& deliver it square. We’re too old to be changing the swing mechanics. moment of impact sir! You almost had me overloaded lol

  4. Last year, I changed my swing in order to shallow out and generate more club head speed. At the same time I was fitted for new clubs. The combination didn’t work, no matter how much practice I put in. I am now making another swing change, and have begun to strike the ball solidly and consistently again. I am still not happy with the ground interaction of the new clubs, so I am about to check the lie and loft of the clubs in relationship to my new swing.

  5. New golf swings I've always found should go a half a club shorter because if you freely going at it, you aren't really working on your new swing. What I see in your swing is that your slow-motion pre-shot more verticle backswing reverts back immediately inside and flat when you go full speed real swing. For a few weeks, I would suggest making your 'real' shot backswing MUCH slower to groove the more verticle/outside feeling you are fighting – or, go back to your own swing and enjoy life.

  6. I understand how you feel. After taking lessons last year, it took some time to get used to it, but I needed to make equipment changes, from updating lie angles to heavier shafts. I think it is better to get fit after lessons. Keep practicing, even if it annoys your friends. LOL

  7. Thanks for sharing. I’m in the same spot with new fitted JPX-921 and trying to change my swing at the same time

  8. James I'm no expert, but your practice position is nothing like your backswing.
You are much more inside and flat.

  9. When working on changing things, it is not a good idea to change too many at the same time. Its hard to determine what is working.

  10. But it can’t be the great Pete cowans concepts that are to blame, no… he’s coached major winners.

The guy can only coach elite athletes, you need 10 hours a day to ingrain his movements he claims to be natural. So much tension in your body when you try to control the club, forget about any kind of distance unless you work out and try to lessen the stress on your spine and lower back.
Average people can’t play golf this way, nor should they try in my opinion. Go back yo releasing the club the way you used to James before you go crazy or injure yourself or both

  11. It all becomes clear now, why Chris is not being ribbed and challenged, too scared to lose and 'enjoy' the gloating !

Maybe a case of fitted for clubs and then changing your swing with lessons so you are all over the place !

When I stopped playing for a few years I made sure I cam back with all the same gear so I could gauge my game against myself i.e. settle down the game without changing anything. A couple of years in I have no gradually developed my equipment and had fitted irons etc and new wedges.

Good luck with the Vegas trip !

  12. Robbo…… 4:02 “when I get back (from a stag do in Vegas) I am going to spend literally WEEKS practicing on the range……

Back in the real world, when you get back from your stag do James, you are going to be spending weeks doing what your lovely fiancé tells you to do so that the wedding goes off without a hitch 😉😂

  13. Can tell you right now James your biggest problem is your head dipping down through impact. Keep your chin up and your head height through the shot
