I played Runcorn golf club yesterday and shot 82 so close to breaking 80 😀😀

Love Alwoodley, quality course. It looks in mint condition, never played it for pleasure always been in Open pre-qual. It chewed me up and spat me out, you'll get the break through

Your ability is all there and your swing is looking good. I think you let them bad shots or misses really effect you which goes onto the next hole etc. Once you get rid that mental block you will do it over and over. Keep going mate. Videos are great and this is good series
We had it tough out there this weekend too. Gusts were just under 30 mph. I hit my irons and longer clubs really well all day. The worst of them were easily playable. But I couldn't get the ball on the right side of the green on the approach shots and when chipping, I was forever guessing wrong and coming up too short or going past too far. The greens were very grainy. So much so that no one could get a ball to actually roll putting into it only going down grain. Into the grain they would start bouncing almost right away and were super slow compared to down grain. The only way I know to fight that is to get to know the greens better so I can get myself better positioned on the green and avoid as much bouncing and deflection as possible. So I'll take this round as a decent attempt.
what you think of these balls around the green? I changed to them as well but I'm starting to think they don't spin much
