Swing speed is an essential part of you far you can hit the ball. The faster you swing, the more energy transmitted to the ball.

In today’s simple drill, RotarySwing instructor Chris Tyler shows you a simple drill to get more speed from your driver than you thought possible…

Without a bunch of technical language or swing thoughts!

  2. That helicopters spying – trying to see whats coming next because what you're doing at Rotary Swing is 🔥🔥🔥. Is it fair to say the speed gains we might see from this drill are coming predominantly from the right arm movement?

  3. Holy shit! That worked… and instantly (after building up to it exactly as you laid out here). Seems to have, as you said, helped with my overall release too. Bonus! Thanks Chris

  4. Great video. With irons although you will hit downwards would the same analogy apply with the arms going out to the right?
    Thanks!

  5. Alas, if one accepted every claim made by various instructors here we would all be driving it 400 yards by now. Usually it's "30 yards" per tip but here it's a novel "7mph"! Well done for avoiding the "add 30 yards" cliché.
However, my guess is 7mph equates to 30 yards! 😃

  6. This may be too technical for what you want to communicate in this video, but does the palm of your trail arm hand try to face straight down the 45 degree aiming stick, then when the palm and forearm starts towards the sky does is really go 45 degrees up and more towards your left shoulder than straight up? Also, does the rotation of the trail forearm happen before your hand gets to the ball? I worked on this today with good success. I had the height and ball starting to the right but no draw. I concluded that I was letting the clubface rotate open while I was sending my right hand down the 45 degree aiming stick and did not have time to overcome that excessively open clubface by the time I got to impact. I think this is going to be a lot of fun. Thanks, Tom

  7. I got this idea originally from Mike Austin …it’s amazing how well you hit the ball .

  8. Very interesting, Chris, but confusing. Isn't a tenet of RS not to push with the trail arm? Also, a slow motion video of your swing showing those suggestions in action would be helpful!

  9. Sounds Hank Haney-esk; swing out to right field, although he would have you hit bucket after bucket rapid fire. Interesting you guys at RST are promoting feel swings to get things going right. The axiom has really helped my wedges through 7 iron.
