I really liked hitting those Pings. I just can't get past the notch in the hosel. It's definitely just in my head but golf's such a mental game.
I have MP18 irons. Before that MP32s, I’m a blade purist. Might be harder to hit and less forgiving but there’s nothing better than knowing your striking a pure blade.
I think the most beautiful forged blades I have ever seen were the Miura Jack Nicklaus special edition set. Just out of this World. I have to say that though not blades, for forged irons, the Srixon ZX7 are pretty amazing…

My 2020 (first year) T200 is the kinda hybrid Cast head/forged face, and feels amazing. I love my clubs.
But would love to try the Mizuno Pro 223 irons.
My choice is Miura MB-101, never hit one, never even held one, but still calling it the best there is 😄🏌🏼♂️⛳️
I play with mizuno irons at mo but would love to go back to titliest,t100s not enjoyed irons has much since I played ap2's.

Currently still swinging the 2015 Ping i series in xflex. Really like the new Mizuno line… Will be getting "New" irons soon…

I am a 5 hdc,I have 47 years old,and I start playing golf in June 2015,all my life I m dedicated to Motorsport ,but now my passion is Golf,I start study golf,all about clubs,mechanisms ,numbers etc etc ,and today a build my own clubs,I played with so many clubs,but the first time i tested Mizuno I said “wow”,I loved so much,I played with ,JPX 900 forged,919 forged and JPX 921 Tour ,this last ones are so Fuc€&&@“** amazing ,but now I want more forgiveness ,and I buy MP 225,because for me MiZuno is that clubs you gone loved for life
Is there a difference in performance between these Pings and TM P790s? The P790s are newly in my bag and I’m wondering if I should have waited to give the Pings a go. Thanks.

I really like the look and feel of my 2020 Cobra Forged Tec irons, and from what I've seen and read, the new ones are even better.
As a mid-HC, the Wilson Staff D9 Forged ticks all the boxes

Honestly Pete I couldn't care less if I have a forged or cast iron as long as it helps me play well. Yes a forged blade look astonishing but I'm not good enough to weald them effectively. 😍
That's exactly why I bought my Apex Pro set, forged feel but just a bit more going on for the goofy strikes

You obviously are fibbing for money. Feedback is your friend. hollow bodied irons with forged faces feeling good on mishits is not good for your game.
Love the i525's finally converted from p790's . Irons turn up next week. Thin top line, lovely feel with forgiveness and very powerful with extra height to stop on the greens.
After many months of research and testing, I ultimately went with the Hogan PTx Pros. Huge fan of them. They offer more forgiveness than I even anticipated. Love the vids, Pete!
I play srixon z585 and as someone who plays at mid to high handicap they feel so good and look good in my opinion , and are forgiving and I don't feel like srixon get enough credit
It’ll be hard, when the time comes, to take my P770s out of the bag. I tested them against just about every forged club out there (even some lesser known brands like Ballistic), and they were the complete package of looks, feel, sound, and performance.
Still playing my Titleist 680's.
I can't shape them left and right, and once in a while intentionally….

Nowadays Pete the I525 makes sense. The best of both worlds. And, you have options on lie, loft and length. Expensive though.

Pete, did you have the chance to try te new Cobra forged tec? I got the Mizuno MP-20 HMB. And the feel of Cobra is prety close!
Played MP14s for years. Absolutely wonderful! If my game was still the quality it used to be and I was looking for another set of "forged" irons….yep…Mizuno 221s. At 70, my JPX921HMP are doing me just fine! (Does it show that I'm kinda of a Mizuno guy? Haha)

I’ve got the Taylormade P770’s, cast body and forged face, feels wonderful, plays amazing and with a 33* 7 iron more of a traditional modern loft.
Definitely considering the ZX7

Would love to hear your feedback on all their improvements from their original blades.
I'd also be going with one of the options where it's not a solid, one-piece forging… PXG Gen4 0311P… Club head pieces are forged then put together, along with being "filled"… They fee/sound very good, but the forgiveness/performance I need. My dream set of one-piece forged irons, though, is Miura. That's another level (IMO) altogether.
Wilson Staff Model CBs are amazing. I haven’t tried their forged D9, but reviews are just as solid as they are for the CBs.
Love the feel of Wilson irons. I absolutely was not even considering a Wilsons, but the V6’s were just so soft but in an authoritative way. Which, of course, doesn’t make sense . . .
Miura Baby Blades are my dream set. Been playing the Nike VR pro blades since they came out. I’ve tried a more forgiving “players” iron but just couldn’t do it and went right back to the blades.
