I agree that Canelo will smash Beterbiev. Canelo won't be bothered by power punchers. He's too skilled and has too good a chin. But Bivol, a terrific technician figures to be a difficult challenge. He won't try to overpower Canelo. He'll try to outwork him, outslick him and out think him. It can go either way. If Canelo can topple Bivol, then it will be a long time before anyone defeats him.

Now normally I 'fully' respect Bernard Hopkins opinion because he's been there and done it and is certainly a legendary name from the sport of boxing and has been a great fighter and champion, . . . the fact remain though that both Bivol and Beterbiev represent significant potential stumbling blocks for Canelo right now and I'm sure most would commend Canelo for being brave enough to agree to a fight with Bivol, it's a really good fight for Boxing and Boxing Fans should appreciate the bravery on display from both men.
To say Canelo 'smashes' Bivol is disrespectful to the level of dedication that Bivol has exhibited so far throughout his Boxing Career.
Also; Beterbiev represents an 'extremely dangerous risk' for ANY Fighters out there today who intend to operate around the Light Heavy Weight Class, and Canelo is no exception to this.
No other fighter trains to the level of Beterbiev, he is a throwback fighter in the mould of the Great Rocky Marciano and I believe Beterbiev will not be bested or defeated by anyone if he is sensible enough to retire whilst still close to the peak of his powers and avoid staying on too long.
Right now there is simply nobody out there who even compares to Beterbiev for sheer brute force power and physicality, he is a one man wrecking machine and seemingly devastates any fighter putting themself in his way with relative ease.
Beterbiev's power seems to inflict blunt force trauma on his opponents with alarming regularity, I for one would happily salute those brave fighters who've elected to face this man in a competetive ring because in Beterbiev I believe we are all witnessing a phenomenally special fighting force.
