Marissa Singer Medalist, Lady Cougars take 5th at Crossroads League Championship

ANGOLA, Ind. — Marissa Singer celebrated her second consecutive Crossroads League Tournament championship with a meal from Wendy’s, then her nose was back in her books studying for two finals on Wednesday during University of Saint Francis finals week.

The USF sophomore from Noblesville, Ind., shot a 79 on Tuesday to win by a nose at Glendarin Hills Golf Club to finish with a 54-hole score of 228. Then she and the rest of her Lady Cougar teammates waited for what seemed like an eternity until Nicole Jung bogeyed the par 5 18th hole leaving Singer as medalist by one stroke. Jung finished with a 76 for the low round of the final 18 holes.
