Get the planer rod used in the episode at https://www.fsfgear.com/product/rod-planer/
I really do enjoy the seminars that you do
Typical spread of 9? Small boat you say? Jeez, I better get a new boat with 4 outboards on the back! 😉
more content in your content. Too many ads.
9 lines?….just because you can doesn't mean you should…sometimes less is more
27 minute video…..20 minutes of ads ..7 minutes of actual content. ..come on guys you can do better …your fans deserve better
I don't know why the salesman tried to compete with the regular guy on YouTube👎🏻

Ppl here complaining about ads like this was cable tv. News flash ppl, just fast forward if you are not interested in the ad. 🙄
Nice video guys! Enjoyed watching it!
Good info. Love your content!
Got a quick question, you said to the deeper planer close and set the smaller planer further back. Do you mean the leader is further back or the planer is further back. Thanks for the tips!
Good timing, I'm just preparing (planning) our trolling spread for our Spring King Mackerel tournament(s) on the Gulf Coast. I also had 9-max or seven in mind, depending if we have three or four people on board. We most likely will use large live bait, Blue Runners, Blue fish or Spanish Mackerel, can you offer any thoughts on if using live bait will, or should change the configuration? I have a Andros 32 OffShore …
Ok, 9 lines, 2 guys…more talk than walk…
What reels do you guys use out there for trolling
awesome content but why don't y'all bleed your fish right after getting it in the boat? Makes for much better meat and puts the fish out of its misery quickly.
What reel brands u using
I think you guys did well . I know I would be happy with my catch it I caught that
Hi Mike,
I went sailing in Greece last year with my buddy Martin, who has a sailing yacht there.
I took my fishing gear with me and dropped my artificial lures all day for a week in the saronic gulf. You’ll find all kind of species there. I also sometimes put on Water Wolf Underwater Cams where I could see some Mahi, Dorados and even a Marlin chasing my baits but only chasing and watching it, never got a bite.
SPEED:
Problem is we have a very constant speed of 5 knots during sailing, sometimes 4-4.5. so actually a bit too slow for that typically high speed trolling of 6-10 knots with artificial lures. On the other hand I guess 4-5 knots are way too fast for trolling live baits.
Can you tell me WHAT KIND OF LURES I should use to catch any fish during the next sailing trip?
Maybe a combination of artificial one and live bait (pitch baits?), because we’re too slow to trigger a reaction bite?
BIG THANKS!!
Phil
Hey Florida Sportfish! Great show, a bit too many commercials… Would it be possible to discuss the trolling speed and show illustrations on how your setup looks in the water? Thanks
