DO NOT buy a NEW driver… YET? When buying a new driver it’s so important to buy the right one, do you need the best driver of 2022? The longest driver of 2022? Sometimes we think that a low spin driver can be perfect for us to hit longer drives. And with such good low spin drivers on the market such as the Cobra LTDX LS, Callaway Rogue ST Max LS, Titleist TSi3, Taylormade Stealth Plus and even the Ping G425 LS… it’s easy to think buying new golf clubs is the answer… lets do it… and let’s do it now!

So, 3/4 of the ball above the driver instead of half? Or more?
Gotta try this one when the season opens… missing some distance for the swingspeed I'm generating…
Exactly wot I've done teed higher lofted driver up n getting nice draw gained some distance only my 1st time today but positive feedback
Great tips thank you James!
So what is the cut off? When is the right time to consider a new club?
Cheers, keep up the good work!
Trying this at the range, thanks James .
great explanation mate, being doing this with my Sim2 max after a lesson with my local pro. saved me £450 on a new driver with a £30 lesson. if id waited 5 weeks it would have been free LOL
Great video. I think that your instructional videos are the best. Going to try these tips to reduce my slice. Love your channel. Keep up the good work 👍
It works. If you want to try a low spin driver pick up a used adjustable callaway 815 Alpha
Your swing is so sharp at the moment. Alot trust in your game 👍
Great video, James! New clubs and the new technology in those clubs only benefits the player if you're using it correctly. Golf is not only a game of literal inches/yards but technique far outweighs any technology. My golf coach preaches "Tiger could still beat both of us, even if we played a 1 v 2 scramble, using only a 7 iron from the 1980s by a solid ten or more strokes. Technique is everything in this game!" Take the money you were going to spend on that new driver and use it for lessons and I'll guarantee you'll get positive results at any skill level if you have the right PGA Pro. Also, as important as getting fitted to your clubs is in many respects, a "bad fitting" can be equally as damaging to your game.
Loved this video mate!!!
I have a custom made rogue max and it was $900. Does it drive better than my Epic GBB…nope. It's as if the nut behind the club needs to better. The drivers are better than my game. But I enjoy having good equipment. No excuses that way. If you want the same capability at a lower price get a used Epic or other high-end driver. All my opinion, but remember I don't know crap lol
Hey James. Sorry but do not leave to much comments on your uploads but I appriciate your work on your channel. But… You should consider to break out an make ypur channel a bit more specific and your honnesg videos and not folloing other bigger channels. for exampel this video wich have the thumbnail and title "dont buy a new driver" and you are comparing two new driver realesed this year??? how do you figure that out? better would have been testing the rounge max ls against the previous year low spinning option with callaway and your video and comparrision wouyld be more right to your thumbnail. best regard
Mate, how's the rubber coating on the Stealth plus+ holding up? Mine already has plenty of tee marks on the bottom, not sure how it's going to last the season. 💯💯💯
Bit late new one got delivered yesterday🤣🤣
With the ball forward in your stance, staying behind it and hitting up wouldn't you need to aim a little right since you'll catch it farther forward in your swing arc when the club has started moving left?

One of your better ones. Nice.
Wow! Cowan did so much for you and now you can instruct us! Sign me up for a lesson.
Bought a used TM R1 ~2013 I think. Got a used 2021 TM Sim2 Max this year… biggest difference? The 30g weight difference between the two. Granted the impact on the sim2 feels nicer and well… "hotter" but most of my gains I am pretty sure are from just the weight savings. Its the same as auto racing… add speed? Add lightness! Shaft differences are under 10g. R1 has a 65g stiff rip phenom, sim2 has a ust mamiya helium 5 in stiff at roughly 56g…. so the difference is in the head itself.
I am 100% hitting it farther with the sim2. Its the same swing I have with the R1. Both are set to the same loft and lie. The weight though…. I dont have to try as hard to swing the same and yet I am for sure getting more speed.
Your very good at your instructions you should do more of this mate brilliant content bud.
Well structured and implemented. Very logical and reasonable. Can I do this? Off to the simulator in the garden to try this out.
Nice tips. I’ve recently started putting my right hip in my back pocket 😂 I set up then pull my right hip back about a inch and boom sent drives down the middle. I use a high tee around the orange castle ones height 🤙🏼
Great video. Very helpful
Thank you for this James… straightforward and to the point that allows us all to understand and take to the course or range.
Love all of your vids! However……..could you please, please find a new song for your background!!!!!
That "Something else on your Mind" ……drives me out of my mind!!!!!
Have had to stop a couple of your vids because there was just too much of that song.
Kind of like fingernails across a chalkboard.
Thanks.
Exactly what I need!
Using the PXG0811X gen 4 9*, low spinner but I still balloon the hell out the ball with a 20 yard left to right……definitely need to work on my draw game!
Thanks James.i did this today along with another little tweak and it worked so well.maybe too well as i was hitting the ball a little too high so might drop the loft a degree next time I'm out. cheers
