Liverpool’s Attack is the Deepest in the World, It’s Not Fair at This Point | UCL Review Show

Liverpool showed that their attack is one of the deepest in Europe. When one attacker is out of form, they can call upon another world class attacker to fill in, as Benfica saw. Plus, Guardiola’s side eventually overcame Atletico thanks to some substitute appearances from Phil Foden and Gabriel Jesus to change the game.

  1. As a Liverpool fan who has been annoyed with our quite poor back up options in recent seasons it is so nice to be able to talk about us having some of, if not THE, best depth in Europe!

  2. All those '0's is pretty painful to watch. Wow.

But I'm sure it's Simeone who wanted it this way.

I bet he's even happy with this 1 goal deficit!

  3. It's weird how shape and form works, isn't it?

Just look at Salah right now compared to couple months ago. Crazy!

  4. City will be having a nightmare mentality! Liverpool don't care about no paycheck, the only thing on their mind is winning! We here for the smoke. YNWA

  5. I for one am extremely happy with the game Atleti played, it seemed like we just wanted to survive against this man city super team and that's just what we did. I'm thinking we will be more powerful on the counter attack in the metropolitano next week. Aupa Atleti!

  6. As a FC Porto fan i understand you, Adrian: playing against Liverpool is frustrating, their attack is terrible for any defense, no portuguese team is able to stop them, that's the truth.

  7. in my opinion, atleti in the wanda really needs suarez, either starting, or coming off the bench, as his latest performance vs alaves shows that.

  8. "Liverpool's defence isn't as airtight as it used to be" – let's debunk that because we have played 11 league games so far in 2022, in that we have 8 clean sheets and and 4 goals conceded. Those goals were a 2-2 vs Chelsea in what was a good game vs Cheslea on top form at the time whilst we had a couple missing in what was relatively a spell of bad for (single draw and loss heading into it). The other 2 were 3-1 wins where the goal conceded changed nothing (if anything woke us up vs Norwich and made us play better). We conceded 3 times in the FA Cup in 4 fixtures, all wins. 3 clean sheets in 3 league Cup games. Add the 2 conceded vs Inter and Benfica and you have a grand total of 9 goals conceded in 21 games.

I'd stick me neck out and say that's as close to airtight a defence as you'll find in any top League, Cup and Continental campaign in that time.

  9. Adrian I love you 💕
Hope we take our form into the weekend so we can overtake City. I want the Quad. #YNWA

  10. I think that the City defense was amazing last night (or afternoon here in Brazil). The tactical fouls from City strangled any attempts from Atletico (especially with João Felix). The referee did nothing about it, so that task was even more difficult for Atleti

  11. now that theres no away goal rule, there is no incentive for the underdog not to park the bus away from home. Atletico did what they should have given the structure of the competition

  12. Liverpool have conceded TWO goals in their last TEN league games …. The defence remains very airtight 90% of the time.

  13. What’s more amazing is Reds are doing it with under 1m weekly for five, wait. The entire attack cost Liverpool under 1m weekly.

  14. I thought Benfica gave a pretty good account of themselves. They were quick to close down, reasonable defensive organization and dangerous counter. What really impressed me was how they all seemed to be able to change direction with the speed of a gazelle. I've never seen an entire team be so good at that! I'm just glad Liverpool didn't approach the match as a given 😉

  15. Good analysis! As a Benfiquista I never really had much hope that we would win this game, there's just too much of a gap, Liverpool can probably buy almost the whole Benfica team by selling only one of their players. Anyway, just one thing I do disagree is the penalty call, and I'm perhaps a bit biased, but having played most of my time in those 2 positions (centre back and striker) I completely understand what happened when Darwin cut inside and van Dijk seeing he could no longer catch him, used his arm to stop him (I've done it 😋), which worked but was definitely used illegally to stop the striker, however I agree that Darwin did fall too easily, which definitely contributed to the no call (definitely not as bad as the no call in Chelsea vs Newcastle, the guy almost took a Newcastle jersey home). Also, it is true when you say refs tend to not to give the call if there's little chance he'll get the ball but that's just wrong from the ref's part as you're benefiting the infractor, a foul is a foul. Anyway, as long as we don't get crushed in Liverpool I think it would still be positive show for Benfica.

  16. Juaaa!!! Premier League, if this league were the best in the world, England would be recognized as a power in football, and it is not. That is the big problem of Concacaf, instead of looking at Germany, they look at England, a lot of money yes, but little fútbol

  17. Benfica aren't too good but just give us some fan heart!! some good old irrational love for the 'vermelho e branco' that's what it's about

  18. You should do a preview with the RedmenTV. Liverpools biggest fan channel, and the god father's of football fan channels. The OG!

  19. 7:08 – Adrian behind the scenes of that Benfica v Liverpool livestream.. really hope Steve the cat didn't see that.

  20. Llorente is such a talented player my god,he surprises me every time that he plays
    Ps Llorente* not Yorentei

  21. And on top of the Mane/Salah/Firmino/Dias/Jota attacking options, we still have Origi and Minamino on the bench who (while perhaps not as consistent as the main 5 options) can both cause problems for opposition teams on their day. So yeah, we kinda do have two full, quality attacking line ups.

  22. The issue with athletico is that they only know how to play one way. Simeone can’t make them turn it up after they go down especially against a team like man city.
Also liverpools offense is their best defense, nobody wants to step out when you can get counter attacked

  23. as a liverpool fan, i can only laugh at this ridiculous notion, but thanks for the vote of confidence all the same.

  24. why do they hate grealish so much? come on thats elizabeth swan!! give some respect for the pirate girl!😂

  25. I know everyone loves Klopp, but I really don't like the way he diminishes smaller sides in the way he talks.

But it matches Liverpool fans. They mostly live in their own bubble.

  26. Actual benfica fan : don't think that was a pen … it was really soft
Penchester and varca fans : Penalty!!! LIVARPOOL

  27. Atletico had a game plan of not being clattered in Manchester and stealing the tie in Madrid.. I can see it potentially happening. I dont love Simone, but hes no amateur.

  28. Our league winning season we had Origi and Shaqiri as our only backups, and as much as I loved them, man is the current squad a sight to see and admire.

  29. Not as air tight as it used to be?!? That’s hilarious. Have you seen how many clean sheets Liverpool have had this season?
