Exercise to Improve Thoracic Mobility in the Golf Swing

⛳Looking to improve mobility in your golf swing? Many people struggle with a stiff thoracic spine which can limit mobility as well as cause pain. Try out this exercise!⁣

𝐓-𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝗪𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐑𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬⁣
🔑Improve thoracic mobility (rotation) while limiting pelvic/lower back movement.
🔑Also serves as a great core and lower body stability exercise. ⁣

🏌️‍♂️Perfect for golf but can benefit everybody!⁣

𝐓𝐨 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦:⁣
1️⃣Lean up against a wall and pin a ball of some sort between the far knee and the wall.⁣
2️⃣Push the arm closest to the wall into the wall and open up by rotating the opposite arm away.⁣
3️⃣Repeat for reps or hold for time.⁣

💡𝐓𝐢𝐩𝐬:⁣
🔹Make sure to axially rotate without side bending.⁣
🔹Work breathing into the exercise.⁣
🔹Add a band to help reinforce the pattern.⁣
🔹Try the kneeling version for less difficulty.⁣

🚫Make sure there is no pain in the neck or shoulder. In addition, avoid any pain or pinching in the hips.
