Playing Cold Waters again. This one is all about the Soviet Whiskey Class Diesel-Electric Submarine. The Whiskey Class was built right after WW2 and has a lot of German influence. Heavily based off of the German Type XXI Elektroboot built during WW2. The Whiskey Class was developed in the early 1940s to eventually replace the previous Soviet S class Submarine. However the design was not complete until 1950. The Whiskey Class is one of the most produced submarines in the world and was used during the Cold War. Because of its Uboat like appearance and Influence off of captured German tech, I thought it would be fun to use Uboat tactics in 1968. Some may call this “A one way trip to the bottom”.
