Course Management – Hole 11 Par 3 – Long and Though – Golf Tips for Birdie or Better



In this continuing series, I will focus on the back nine and on how to play your way around any golf course, I am looking at Hole #11here at Belmont Country Club, a long Par 3 that has an uphill tee shot over a bunker. Pure impact, a sound strategy and doing our homework is essential to score birdie or better on this hole. Going long is also a good option on this hole, also known to most as the shortest Par 5 in Northern Virginia.

In this golf instruction video I focus on an uphill Par 3 that has a bunker to content with andhow that affects your club selection into the green. To get on the green on this Par 3, we also need to be aware of the surrounding wind and find out by looking at the tree tops to see if the wind is blowing and if so, from where and how this factor will affect our shot so that we have the best way to the hole to score birdie or better.

There are a few keys you must know in order to be able to play better golf, hit these uphill and over a bunker with consistency and confidence and don’t forget to club up. Doing your homework on the golf course is vital and the thing to do before you step onto any new golf course.
