As many novice players seek out hot topic tips that they may believe to be better golf strategies than the fundamentals that are ingrained in the heritage of the sport, many overlook the development of a consistently affective follow through, which finishes behind the head or shoulders of the golfer. In a proper follow through, the athletic motion should find the hands at shoulder height or higher, with the clubhead on the opposite side of the golfer.

Positioning your follow through in this manner will be quite natural for your heads after processing the athletic motion behind each sequence within the golf swing up until that point. This position means that the entire force and momentum of your golf swing has slowed down gradually rather than being stopped abruptly or too slowly.

Most top speed golf pros with tour experience exhibit clearly that their weight has been distributed to their front side of foot during the follow through swing sequence. Such positioning allows for increased clubhead speed which will deliver deeper distance in the resulting shot. Shifting your body weight to your front side often solidifies that your body weight has transitioned properly during impact, indicating a clear swing evolution in the correct direction. Few golfers, even those with tour experience, can finish on their front side without first establishing proper shifting of their body weight during their swing.

Players allowing their golf swing evolution to follow up with finishing on their front side understand that good follow through positioning often can be indicated by the back heel being raised in the air during the sequence. Typically the back toe will be the only component of the back foot making contact with the ground if the follow through has been executed correctly.

For a visual golf swing indicator of success, golfers should consider a target facing chest to be a sign that they have performed the athletic motion behind this component correctly. There may not be better golf advice currently available that can instantly transform a poorly composed follow through. Visual golf students should seek out proven methods that draw on the fundamentals exhibited by top speed golf pros with tour experience rather than all sizzle no steak tactics that end up hurting golf swings more than they help.
