The British woman crashed out of her opening round match at the BNP Paribas Open to Aliaksandra Sasnovich 6-2, 6-4. Now US Open runner-up, Leylah Fernandez had a different Indian Wells debut, dominating French veteran Alize Cornet 6-2, 6-3.
