Welcome to Black Gold Golf Club Hole Overviews.
Hole 4 at Black Golf Golf Club is your first crack at a par-5. This straight away par-5 is slightly down hill but in the afternoon plays into a prevailing wind. The fairway opens up significantly for all golfers but on the left side of the fairway, a lateral area comes into play for the longer players. Shots sprayed too far right bring O.B. into play.
If you are going to go for it in two, your shot needs to be precise as the hole narrows significantly and green slopes from front to back. Be careful though, as the lateral up the left and O.B. up the right continue through the green.
Your best play on this hole to score or prevent a big number is to find the fairway on your first, hit your approach to a comfortable yardage that you can spin the ball, and give yourself an uphill birdie putt.
Pro Tip: As previously mentioned, the green breaks front to back. Putts on the back of the green to the front are extremely slow. Give it a little extra!
