Dressing for CCW – Concealed Carry Clothing – Tips for New Shooters

Concealed Carry Clothing is something that a lot of new shooters may not consider. Your clothing should be comfortable and provide uninhibited access to your firearms while at the same time it should completely conceal your firearm. The proper clothing will prevent your firearm from Printing. “Printing” a term that refers to your firearms shape/profile being visible to others despite it being concealed on your body. (Note: In almost all states you will need to complete some sort of Concealed Carry Training course before you can carry a concealed handgun)

Holster Terms:
AIWB: Appendix Inside the Waistband
IWB: Inside the Waistband
OWB: Outside the Waistband

Remember the 4 basic rules of firearms safety.
1) Treat every firearm as if it was loaded.
2) Keep your finger off the trigger until you’re ready to fire.
3) Muzzle awareness. Never point your firearm at anything you’re not willing to destroy.
4) Know your target and what is beyond/behind it.
