Japanese Beetle Dry Fly on Lake Taneycomo

After yesterday’s trip where I landed 4 rainbows and missed 4 other takes on a red Fat Albert hopper, I boated up for another try. Finding only 3,000 cfs instead of 6,000 as it was yesterday, I decided to try a smaller fly. A Japanese Beetle has been very good for us on Taney. I caught 2 rainbows, hooked one and missed another. Here’s one I landed.

Templefork TiCrX 9′ 6 wt rod, 3x tippet to the fly.
