Building new Foresight Golf swing studios with GC Quads at The Springs GC.
Through 2021, we are making huge improvements to the The Springs Resort and Golf Club in Oxfordshire. The first phase of this, is the extension and renovation of our existing clubhouse, which included designing and building two brand new state of the art swing studios with Foresight GC Quads and a putting studio.
Darwin Escapes Kevin Paver spoke to Justin Sandler from Foresight Europe to find out more about the build and exactly what golfers can expect when they visit this fantastic new facility.
The Springs Golf Club, near Wallingford, Oxfordshire, is laid over 133 acres of beautiful parkland, that runs alongside the River Thames. The par 72 golf course was originally designed by former Ryder Cup captain Brian Huggett, and first opened in 1998.
Purchased by Darwin Escapes in 2017, a significant investment plan began, starting with the golf course. Leading course architect Tim Lobb was called in and he worked in consultation with Huggett, primarily on the bunkers and lakes, improving their placement, appearance, and aesthetic appeal.
