KILSPINDIE GOLF CLUB – SCOTLAND'S HIDDEN GEM

WHAT A GREAT GOLF MATCH Watch until the end, SO FUNNY!!
Liam Harrison handicap index 5.6 & Chorlton Cum Hardy Golf club Captain Pete Johnson (Ebay Pete) play a fantastic 3 hole match at Kilspindie Golf Club which is situated at the end a single track road, in the village of Aberlady.
The course is sometimes overlooked by golfers due to it’s bigger neighbours Muirfield, North Berwick & Craigielaw.
Originally known as Luffness Golf Club in 1867 as the 35th old registered golf club in the world, until a change in site and fragmentation of the club saw Kilspindie and Luffness separate, still only a few miles apart there is a yearly traditional of a formal request for change of name which is formally denied.
Kilspindie is quirky, however as a par 69 & relatively short in length still provides a great test of Golf for all abilities. The club is well known to hickory enthusiasts & clubs can be rented to enjoy the course as a true Scottish Links as it was in 1800s
The club website sums up the golfing experience.
Welcome – and haste ye back.
Thank you to the professional Graham Sked & all the members at Kilspindie Golf Club.

Muirfield
Time and again, you are asked to execute a shot of difficulty, but Muirfield always tells you exactly what is required. The rest is simply up to you.

North Berwick
With stone walls, burns, deep bunkers, rocks, blind shots and some vicious green contours to contend with, North Berwick doesn’t have to be long to be special.

Gullane (No 1)
Few other links feature such dramatic changes in elevation, and Gullane does so in great style. It is also impeccably presented with the course a joy to experience in itself.

The Renaissance Club
With Muirfield on one side and Archerfield on the other, to say that Tom Doak’s Renaissance occupies hallowed golfing ground would be an understatement.

Dunbar
The best thing about Sunny Dunny is that you are so close to the sea for so long. You will struggle to find another links in Scotland that can rival it in this aspect.

Kilspindie
Kilspindie, tucked away between Aberlady and Gullane is all too easy to miss yet contains within 5,500 yards every element of links golf you could wish for.
