Excellent ball striking session with 6 iron and 9 iron at local field. My swing was very good today.
6 iron shots measured by Yupiteru at avg 176 yards carry which was 1 yard from my paced distances… so perfect. Ave club speed 44.9 ms Ball speed 56.8ms…. carry 176 yards…. My old 716 MB avg with 31* 6 iron was 175… so spot on.
9 irons = 131 yd 141, 145, 129, 145 and131 measured by GST5, but when I walked to the balls they were grouped 139-147 yards… I did have the GST5 a little closer for the 9 iron so that may be an issue. Overall, practice was filled with mainly great strikes and a few horrid shanks at the end as I tired. I usually carried my 42* 9 iron Titleist MB 716 at 145… (716CB are 43*)
