2021 Volkswagen Tiguan facelift has been updated with new LED headlights and LED matrix daytime running lights inspired by the lights on the new 2020 Volkswagen Golf. Elsewhere, a larger grille features three prominent chrome slats and the front bumper has also been updated. Also visible is VW’s new corporate logo on the front. There are also some subtle changes at the rear including updated LED tail lights and a new bumper. The cabin hasn’t been revealed yet, but the 2021 Tiguan could have an updated infotainment system and new safety tech added to the standard equipment list. Under the hood, the 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan utilizes the same mild-hybrid tech as the 2020 Golf, but this hasn’t been confirmed yet. Volkswagen India discontinued the 5-seater Tiguan as it did not meet with the new BS6 emission norms. However, VW India does have a long wheel base version of the Tiguan, the Tiguan AllSpace which is essentially a 7-seater version of the SUV. The new 7-seater Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace comes powered by a BS6 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine which churns out 188bhp of maximum power and 320Nm of peak torque. Although not confirmed yet, it is highly likely that the company might carry forward some of the cosmetic changes from the Tiguan facelift spotted in Germany and introduce the SUV in the near future.
