Everyone needs to know how to throw a standstill shot in disc golf. It’s absolutely necessary. The standstill shot is great for form checks, it is a necessary skill, and it provides a HUGE confidence boost out on the course.

The issue that so many golfers (pros included–James Conrad admitted on Brian Earhart’s podcast, “The Flight Diary,” that he doesn’t like standstill shots) have with the standstill shot is that they feel out of rhythm. In order to get in the rhythm, you need to practice three things: balance, weight transfer, and having a clean follow-through.
