If your ball rolls into a penalty area from the general area after taking a penalty drop, are you permitted to play it if it is within two club-lengths of where it landed when you dropped it?

No, the player must re-drop the ball. The ball must come to rest in the same area of the course within the relief area that it first touched on the drop.
