Pitchers are trained to disrupt the hitter’s timing, disrupt the hitter’s spatial alertness. Pitchers do things to get the hitters disconnected from the flight path of the pitch. Our player-hitting-development community needs to become more sensitive to this fact and prepare our hitter against the pitcher’s weapons. I have some ideas.
