This is just the first Stage. Last Year I cut down trees for firewood and set aside potential pieces for this stage. Once at the bandsaw I try to make selective cuts to end up with a blank that will reveal it’s hidden beauty with the final rip cut ππ I aim to have book matched blanks or at least one nicely figured blank from each small piece of firewood I select.
