In this video, I caught live threadfins (aka greenbacks) using a cast net and used them to target a variety of different inshore species including redfish, snook, speckled trout, jack crevalle, and tripletail. This strategy of using live bait is very affective this time of year when the white bait is starting to show up inshore around the Tampa Bay area. I spent that day fishing around spoil islands, mangrove shorelines, and docks.
