Dead, Sealed, Lead Acid Battery Recovery

In this video I attempt to recover 2 sealed 12 volt lead acid battery out of my nephews toy car. I was on the point of throwing them out as the Lucas battery of 10 yrs and the Caddy battery have sat in the back of the garage for the past 12 years, prior to this they where in the toy car, and the Caddy Matic battery before that was in a golf cart making it approximately 17 years old. After charging both batteries they reached about 4 volts and dropped back to 2 volts over 12 hours, after topping up the Lucas battery it sits at 7 volts after 3 hours charging and the Caddy battery sits at 12.70 Volts.

As a side note, it is not recommended to open a sealed lead acid battery, but if you must then wear gloves and safety glasses as batteries contains acid,

Due to a static hiss from my PC fans being picked up by the microphone I added a backing track from the YouTube Audio Library.
