John Hughes Golf – Proper Balance at Impact

Great impact positions are also better balanced. And you can achieve both by combining 2 different drills together to feel a better balanced impact position with all your golf clubs.

In this video, John Hughes, PGA Master Professional of Instruction demonstrates 2 drills he features in other videos within his YouTube Channel, John Hughes Golf. The “heel to Heel” drill focuses upon your ability to be in your back heel at the top of your swing, while feeling in your forward heel at impact through a full finish.

As your club reaches the point of impact executing this drill, can you get an impact bag to flip over itself? Doing so confirms you’ve squared your golf club at impact while delivering the club “through” the ball, not “at” the ball.

The combination of these 2 drills provides a confirming feeling of great balance as your club makes solid contact.

Taking into consideration this video is recorded on the picturesque 7th tee box of Streamsong Blue’s Tom Doak Course, this is a must view video to combine to important parts of your golf game.
