Sanford NC disc golf – A quick tour of OT Sloan disc golf in Sanford NC, a #shorts
The video above was of the front 9 of OT Sloan park early on a Saturday morning.
We decided to go play a round of disc golf with my new Gimble and take a few shots of our weak disc golf game.
It was also a pretty cold morning at OT Sloan Park and probably need to be reminded that when playing Disc Golf early in the morning to wear a thin pair of gloves because the disks nail your fingers when releasing.
Some of the reason I enjoy OT Sloan is
1. It’s location is pretty close to downtown Sanford, NC which makes it a quick drive down the road for me.
2. OT Sloan park in Sanford is the first course I was introduced to by a great friend and has that memorable factor.
3. The complexity of OT Sloan course is not a long distance course with most of the holes ranging from between 150 – 300 however you have to navigate your discs through a variety of trees which adds a degree of complexity to it.
4. It does have a tendency to be wet and hold water in some places but for me, it just adds to the nuance of the game. Luckily at OT Sloan in Sanford, the water features are simply large puddles so getting your disc back is pretty easy.
Anyone in the area of Sanford NC, should definitely give it a go as a fun game to play with the family!
