Grip Pressure SECRET : TENNIS FOREHAND

Having a proper understanding of how tight you should squeeze your tennis racquet on your forehand, serve, or backhand can make a huge difference in your tennis game. In this tennis forehand lesson, Jeff Salzenstein shares a secret tip related to the ideal pressure on your tennis grip.

He demonstrates different ways to work on your tennis forehand technique while ensuring you hold the racquet with the right amount of tension.Consequently, you can play more like the tennis pros and fast track your results.

Jeff highly suggests having a grip that enables you to release tension and feel less pressure on the hand. Thus, he recommends spreading your index finger and getting your hand angled on the racquet as shown in the video.

When you make your first move on the forehand, Jeff advises using your off hand to release the pressure from your dominant hand. Now, while making contact with the ball, there’s an element of pressure to avoid the racquet falling out of your hand. On the finish, Jeff likes to have his players take the racquet out of their dominant hand.

He also teaches the concept of wiggling the dominant hand fingers’ at the end, while holding the racquet from the throat with the left hand. This will simply make you aware of being super loose and trigger relaxation.
