How Barefoot Strengthens Feet vs Cushioned Footwear

Strengthening the muscles deep within the foot starts with strengthening the nerve supply in the foot whereby better nerve connectivity in the foot was found to be directly related to improved circulation of nutrient-rich blood to surrounding tissues and muscles in the foot. Being barefoot was found to produce the biggest improvements in creating richer nerve networks which led to the greatest enrichment in circulation of nourishing blood to deeper tissues in the foot as compared with cushioned footwear.
