Commercial Bank Qatar and Education City GC take top honours at Qatar Masters Pro-Am event
Doha (Qatar): Commercial Bank Qatar and Education City GC won the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters Pro-Am event held on Wednesday at the Education City Golf course ahead of the European Tour event which tees off at the same venue from Thursday.
The winning team of Commercial Bank Qatar, which won the event held in the evening session comprised of professional John Catlin, while Euan Harvey, Benjamin Coleman and Ali Bashir comprised the other members of the team.
Earlier in the morning session, the Education City GC team emerged on top. The winning combination included professional Oliver Fisher while the other members of the team were Martin Harvey, Abul Rashid Mordiffi and Mohamed Al Mansour.
The Commercial Bank Qatar team comprising of former Dutch international Nigel de Dong which had Dean Burmester as a professional and Tarik Al Al Aloosy, Nasser Al Kaabi as members finished second.
The Qatar Golf Association team comprising of Indian professional Shubhankar Sharma finished third, Besides Sharma the other members included Nada Mir, Uzma Mir and Gregory Gomis.
In the evening session the other podium winners besides the top team were the Education City GC team comprising of professional Antoine Rozner and amateurs Paul Kelly, John Mills and Theo Scheepers.
The third palce went also to the Edcuation City Gc team lead by professional Pablo LARRAZÁBAL. The other members were Wedge Louison, Edmore Chingwena and Johnny Brand.
