March 05, 2016 Edit – Figure I would put this update up top to address the comments about the hat being a fake, counterfeit. From what I can tell, the hat is a genuine Nike product.
Word of mouth from a friend who is a Nike employee means nothing but you can also find this item at Sears online and another major retailer that slips my mind.
Still a awesome hat in my opinion and the “weird” fabric is to help wick away the sweat and speed up the drying process.Bought this in Anthracite/Black and just received it today via Prime 2 day shipping.
I am very happy with this color and yes, the Nike swoosh is a little shiny as somebody else here has pointed out. The Nike swoosh on the front is like a vinyl application that sticks up and does not look to be reflective for night time running.
The fit is adjustable with a Velcro strap on the back. You need to remove the hat from your head to adjust the Velcro strap as the outer piece tucks into the hat and its the interior strap that you need to grab to undo it.
Just a minor issue but most people just set it and forget it.The fabric feels good and its very light on my head, fits great too (Im 63 with a average build).
I like that it sits low around the edges and reaches the top of my ear and the bill can be curved more if you like it that way. I would probably purchase another color to add to this one as soon as Amazon Prime has them in stock.
