NGC April 2020 Re-Opening COVID-19 Regulations

Nanaimo Golf Club will re-open the golf club on April 18th to members only during our first phase. Golf Course around the province of BC have been re-opening over the last 10 days and must follow protocols implemented by the Provincial Health Authority.

We have implemented a number of protocols to aid in the health, safety and enjoyment while on the property. We ask that all those people visiting Nanaimo Golf Club during this time observe the protocols the club has put into place for your safety.

COVID-19 Protocols for NGC

– You MUST sign an online liability waiver prior to golfing at the Club (see the link below; it’s also available on the website’s Member Central page). Members under the age of 19 must have a parent or legal guardian sign in person; contact Ryan Woods to arrange this.

– Stay at home if you or anyone in your household have symptoms of COVID-19 or feel sick in any manner at all.

– Stay at home if you have travelled within the last 14 days.

– We ask that all this Please arrive no more than 15 minutes before your tee time to check in no earlier than 10 minutes at the Pro Shop

– Follow all established traffic-control patterns at the Club.

– Hand-washing stations will be available in the following key locations. Outside the main entrance for everyone who’s visiting the property to wash their hands upon arrival.

– In the washrooms located in the Halfway House and at the 6th tee box. A hand-wash basin will be available at the cart cleaning station after hole 18.

– Practice physical distancing by ALWAYS staying a minimum of 2 meters away from other people especially while on the course.

– Leave the flagstick in while putting.

– Do not shake hands or high-five to celebrate.

– Do not loiter in the parking lot before or after your round.

– Do not sit or socialize at the Halfway House.

– Do not enter any buildings (except bathrooms) on the course.

– Only one person is allowed in a bathroom at a time.

– Observe proper golf etiquette. Players will not be allowed to play past the group in front, and a respectful distance from the group in front must be maintained.

– All members must leave the golf course within 15 minutes of finishing their round of golf.
